Don't buy this product!!!

Well I am back. We were sick and today I decided to clean the house and that still hasn't happened. I did get the bathroom clean, mostly, I think. It has just been one of those days. First the handle on the kitchen sink broke and we had to use pliers to turn it on and off. Then Monkey though scrubbing the toliet looked pretty fun, and now we have one less nail file. I guess I am just luck she didn't happen to have my brush in her hand right! Then I went to change the batteries in her Fisher Price Little People Sail n Float Boat. You are going to pretty much freak out here. I opened the battery compartment and some gross green brown fluid spilled onto my jeans and stung my leg. It wasn't bad enough to leave a mark, but I could just jump up and leave the boat where it was and go change my pants. So I had to walk to the kitchen and put it in the sink so I could take pictures of it and so Monkey couldn't get to it. Then I had to walk to the bedroom and get new jeans. Finally I made it to the bathroom to rinse off my leg and the stinging stopped. Then I got dressed and took this picture. I am very upset that this toy has been in my daughters bathtub for 2 months now. I am surprised that Fisher Price as put this product on the shelves. I am appalled and upset and mad. Mostly I am mad, I am so tired of things being recalled. It seems to me there must be a need for quicker action and harsher punishments for those that put unsafe products on the shelves. There needs to be a better level of quality for children toys. We are very careful in picking out what we buy for her and the little people products have been on the okay list for quite awhile. Anyways, I e-mailed them and I have contacted the CSPC. They have all the information regarding recalls of all products and a way to report hazardous products.

  7. Thanks for the caution. I was reading your profil and it makes me very sad. I don't speak to my parents either, rarely my mom, but she doesnt really have anything to say. I have 1 personn where I live that I can talk to now, other than my husband. Hang in there. I am a long ways from home so its very frustrating. You seem very well adjusted. Be safe.

Check out my blog if your back is doing ok. I could use some talking too on a matter. http://www.simplelivingforall.blogspot.com

If my back is bad, I won't be replying. If it isn't too bad I will.
I will stop by your site though eventually, regardless!
